Magazine Cover Analysis 1

  • When you first look at this horror magazine the first thing you notice is that the image almost takes up the whole page, this is to entice the audience to want to buy this magazine to read it.
  • The font that the magazine has used is very bold & clearly stands out from the background.
  • The banner at the top of the magazine cover gives the audience a small teaser as to what is in this edition of the magazine.
  • The colours which are used on the magazine are white, black & red. These colours symbolise blood, gore & the rest of the content which is included in horror films.
  • In this name of the magazine 'Entertainment' they have put 'Weekly' tells us that the magazine has a new edition come out every week.
  • On the right hand side of the magazine cover it says 'Scream Returns!' This is the main selling point for the magazine, the text as been made big & bold so it stands out & makes people want to buy it.
